The
WRITERS'
HOLIDAY at Caerleon is the annual Writers' Conference for all standards of
writer from the absolute beginner to the best-selling author.
WRITERS'
HOLIDAY is held at the end of July each year at the Caerleon Campus, University
of Wales' College, Caerleon, Newport, South Wales, UK.
It is a
six day, residential Writers' Conference with 150 delegates staying in new, single and en-suite accommodation - and everything takes place within 100 yards
of the main building.
The food
is excellent, and the company is even better.
There is
a twelve course choice (and you can follow two courses during the week),
together with a host of main lectures taking place during the afternoons and
evenings throughout the conference, as well as numerous after-tea sessions of
seminars, talks, discussion groups and workshops on a wide variety of topics and
genres.
Wednesday
afternoon is taken up with a choice of FREE excursions, and the final Thursday
evening 'Welsh Night' private concert by one of Wales' top male voice choirs is
not to be missed.
WRITERS'
HOLIDAY was set up in1986 by Anne Hobbs, is run
by writers, for writers - and
receives no financial assistance from any source whatsoever.
It is
your conference ...and by
not taking the money, we do not have to compromise.
All this is wrapped up in a
totally informal and relaxed setting - it's up to you what you choose to do throughout the week ...but it's all
there for you from 9.00am-late each day - just take what you want.
If you
have not been to WRITERS' HOLIDAY
at Caerleon, you don't know what you've been
missing.
